Can I be taxed and paid this little?

Im 17 and I worked 83.45 hours and only got paid $354.21. the 3.45 counted overtime. Heres my check 80 hours @ $5 and 3.45 @ $7.50. Then taxes FICA-32.58, Federal-20.56, State-18.53.



I live in Michigan anf the min wage is $7.40 and for 16-17 the min can be 85% which is $6.29.

I work a grand total of 83.45 hours and only get paid $354.21.



Like i said im 17 and just have this for a summer job. Mon-Fri. 8am to 5pm. Can the busness do this? I got my first pay check from them and have never been so disappointed.
The state 85% rate of $6.29 was valid between July 1, 2008 and July 23, 2008. Effective July 24, 2009, the federal minimum wage increased to $7.25, which meant that they had to pay at least that much, even if 85% of the state minimum wage was less.
